Fifteen answers, five of which cost us the booking

What do you add to the price?

Not one dollar. There is no fee for talking, for looking, for booking or for changing your mind. The money reaches this office from the far side: a slice of the supplier's own margin, and only once you are home.

Who actually bills me?

Whoever carries you, houses you or guides you, on their own system, in their own name. That is the name your bank statement will show. This site never takes a payment and never sees a card.

Is the telephone genuinely answered at any hour?

Yes, with no small print under it. There is no closing time here and no queue waiting for a morning. Nobody can wake a lodge on the far side of the planet, though. Where the answer waits on one of those, you are told which and told when it opens.

I am one person. What does that cost me?

It varies more than anything else on this site. The Atlantic islands departure holds singles at the shared rate and charges nothing extra. The Canadian driving loop prices by the room, so one person carries almost a whole room. Both figures are printed on their own pages so you never have to ask.

Will you take my children?

On some. Every page carries the supplier's own lower age limit rather than leaving you to find it later. Three of the twelve are built around families; three others start at twelve or above and we will not try to argue those down.

There are six of us. Is that good news?

On four of these, yes, because the thing that dominates the cost is hired whole and then split. On the small hotel trips it works the other way and makes the booking harder to place.

What if somebody pulls out?

On the group trips the figure climbs for everybody still going. On room priced trips the room bill does not shrink at all. It is the commonest nasty surprise in this trade, so it is printed on every page it applies to.

Do you sort out cover for the trip?

No. Nothing of that kind is arranged, sold or recommended here, and we will not steer you toward a provider. Whether you buy any is a decision to make somewhere else.

What about visas and passports?

Also no. Entry rules depend on your nationality and your route, they change, and this office neither advises on them nor files anything for you.

Are these the lowest prices anywhere?

We make no such claim and we do not go looking. Each figure is the floor of a real range on two sharing, and each page says what lifts you off that floor.

I found it cheaper. Will you meet that?

No. Nothing here matches a figure from somewhere else. If what you found is the same trip on the same dates, take it.

Where are the reviews?

There are none worth showing, so there is no section for them. Writing them, buying them or borrowing somebody else's would be worse than a blank space, and a blank space is what you get until something honest exists.

Can a price be held for me?

Only by the company that set it, and only for as long as they choose. This office cannot stretch that and will not pretend it can.

Can you build something that is not on the list?

Often, inside the eleven regions we work in. Outside them we say so and point you at somebody who does that ground properly, and take nothing for pointing.

What if the trip is called off?

Whatever their terms say you are owed, and those terms were in your proposal before you agreed to anything. We chase, we keep the correspondence, and we say plainly when we think you are being handled badly. Paying it ourselves is the one thing we cannot do.
